Who is Noel Fitzpatrick?
Noel Fitzpatrick is an Irish veterinary surgeon and television presenter, best known for his Channel 4 show, Supervet which first aired in 2014.
Noel became the first veterinary surgeon to successfully perform an amputation prosthesis surgery on a black cat called Oscar in 2009.
He has also worked as an actor in television and film.

Where did he grow up?
Noel Fitzpatrick was born in Ballyfin, County Laois, Ireland where he grew up on his father’s farm.
Where did he study?
Noel Fitzpatrick attained his Bachelor of veterinary medicine from University College Dublin in 1990. He was then awarded scholarships to attend The University of Pennsylvania and The University of Ghent before completing certificates in radiology and small animal orthopaedics at the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.
When did he open his practice?
In 2005, Noel Fitzpatrick opened his first animal hospital, Fitzpatrick Referrals in Surrey.
How did he become a TV presenter?
In 2008, Noel treated radio presenter Chris Evans’ dog, Eno for spinal issues. After performing the revolutionary prosthetic works on the cat, Oscar, Evans recommended to the BBC that a documentary detailing the surgery fronted by Noel should be commissioned.
In 2010, The Bionic Vet aired and proved to be a success. A few years later, Channel 4 started to air Supervet in 2014, which runs to this day.
What else has he presented?
So far, Noel Fitzpatrick has presented Sueprvet and The Bionic Vet, but he has also appeared on The One Show, The Chris Evans Breakfast Show and was the subject of The Life Scientific for BBC Radio 4 in 2018.
He has also had a few acting stints, appearing in two episodes of ITV’s Heartbeat as a vet as well as a few other productions.
What books has Noel Fitzpatrick written?
Noel Fitzpatrick has written three memoirs, Listening to the Animals: Becoming the Supervet, How Animals Saved My Life: Being the Supervet, Beyond Supervet: How Animals Make Us the Best We Can Be, Keira & Me and Dogs and Their Humans.
He has also penned the children's books, Vetman and his Bionic Animal Clan and The Superpets (and Me!).
