Each year, pet owners from all over the world compete in the Comedy Pet Photo Awards to see who can take the silliest picture of their four-legged pals.

This year's finalists have just been announced, and there are some absolute crackers to make you smile!

Among the shortlisted photos there is a cat stuck in a wall, a Kung Fu dog, a headless horse, and a very happy donkey.

You can also vote for your favourites for the the People’s Choice Category, which closes on the 10th June.

Who are the judges?

The images were chosen for their photographic quality as well as their comedic value and are now subject to some serious scrutiny from the judges, who are all expert animal lovers, to pick the winner. 

The panel includes TV presenter, writer, conservationist and animal lover Kate Humble, professional photographer and nature lover Gerrard Gethings and his son Jarvis Gethings, plus Barry the Border Terrier, for balance. 

TV Vet and animal welfare campaigner, Emma Milne, and professional pet photographer and former competition winner, Elke Vogelsang.

The 2024 Comedy Pet Winners will be announced on 6th June. The Winner received £500 cash and a brilliant camera bag from ThinkTANK
