Dr Twigs Way
Dr Twigs Way is a professional landscape and garden historian and divides her time between research and consultancy, giving lectures, talks and writing books. Twigs has worked in historic landscapes for over thirty years, commencing with her studies on medieval parks and expanding into gardens and landscapes of all periods. She currently provides a consultancy service for historic landscape owners and works closely with stakeholders including Natural England, Historic England etc. Twigs also designs and delivers courses for the University of Cambridge Botanic Gardens and is a regular contributor to periodicals such as Gardens Illustrated and BBC Countryfile. Having published works as diverse as A Passion for Gardening and the History of Garden Gnomes, she is currently writing a series of books for Reaktion publishers on individual flowers in art and culture.
