Professor Suzannah Lipscomb
Historian, author, and broadcaster
Suzannah Lipscomb is Emeritus Professor at the University of Roehampton and a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society. She has written five books on the 16th century, including Witchcraft (Penguin Ladybird, 2018) and The Voices of Nîmes: Women, Sex, and Marriage in Reformation Languedoc (Oxford University Press, 2019). Most recently she edited, alongside Helen Carr, What is History, Now? (Weidenfeld & Nicholson, 2021). As a broadcaster she has written and presented several historical documentaries for the BBC, ITV, and Channel Five, and she is the writer and presenter of the Not Just the Tudors podcast. Suzannah was formerly a research curator at Hampton Court Palace, and has won awards for her work in the heritage sector.
