Ramblers Let’s Walk Together Social Competition Prize Draw – Terms and Conditions


Competition rules

  1. These terms and conditions apply to the following prize draw (the “Prize Draw”).
  2. The Promoter is either:
    a) Immediate Media Company London Limited (Company Number 06189487), publisher of the following magazine titles/brands:
    i) MadeForMums;
    ii) Radio Times
    iii) GoodFood
    iv) Gardeners’ World
    v) Delicious
    vi) olive;
    or
    b) Our Media Limited (Company Number 05715415), publisher of the following magazine titles/brands:
    i) Gathered.com
    ii) BBC History/History Extra
    iii) Countryfile
    (separately, and together for the purpose of these terms and conditions, the “Promoter”)
  3. The Promoter’s registered address is Vineyard House, 44 Brook Green, Hammersmith, London W6 7BT.
  4. The BBC Code of Conduct for competitions can be found at www.bbc.com/editorialguidelines/guidance/code-of-conduct and all BBC magazines comply with the Code.
  5. By entering the Prize Draw, the participants agree:
    a) to be bound by these terms and conditions; and
    b) that should they win the Prize Draw, their name and likeness may be used by the Promoter for pre-arranged promotional purposes.
  6. The Prize Draw is open to all residents of the UK, excluding the Channel Islands, aged 21 years or older, except the Promoter’s employees or contractors and anyone connected with the promotion or their direct family members.
  7. Entrants may enter the Prize Draw by pledging how many miles they intend to walk in the next 12 months and completing the form on the social post with the entry mechanic. Entrants must supply the Promoter with their full name, email address and the number of miles the entrant is pledging to walk in the next 12 months to enter the Prize Draw . The Promoter will use entrants’ personal details in accordance with the Immediate Privacy Policy.
  8. Entries received after the relevant closing dates of the Prize Draw (see below) will not be considered.
  9. All entrants who have submitted their pledges and completed the online form on the social post with the entry mechanic by the closing date will be eligible to win the Prize Draw.
  10. The closing date for entries to the Prize Draw will be 21st August 2022
  11. The Prize Draw is run by the Promoter, in association with The Ramblers Association (a a registered charity in England & Wales No: 1093577, and in Scotland No: SC039799) (“the Ramblers”). For the avoidance of doubt, the Ramblers is not the promoter of the Prize Draw, but the Promoter shall collect certain data relating to entrants who provide pledges on behalf of the Ramblers for the purpose of running, and analysing the success of, their Let’s Walk Together campaign. Any such data shall be processed by the Ramblers in accordance with their privacy policy.
  12. Only one entry will be permitted per person, regardless of method of entry.
  13. The prize for the Prize Draw consists of a £100 Amazon voucher, which will be sent to the winner digitally.
  14. The winning entrant will be the first entry drawn at random, following the closing date, from all valid entries received prior to the closing date.
  15. The Promoter’s decision as to the winner is final and no correspondence relating to the Prize Draw will be entered into.
  16. The winner will be notified within 14 days of the close of the Prize Draw by email. If a winner of the Prize Draw cannot be contacted or fails to respond within 14 days of such notification being sent, the Promoter reserves the right redraw the prize, or to re-offer the prize in any future promotion.
  17. The surname and county of residence of the winner will be available upon request by sending an email titled “Ramblers Let’s Walk Together Competition – Winner Details Request” to legal@immediate.co.uk or a SAE to Let’s Walk Together Competition, Imagine Team, Vineyard House, 44 Brook Green, London, W6 7BT within two months of the closing date of the Prize Draw. The Promoter will contact the winner before releasing this information and provide the winner the opportunity to object or limit the amount of information shared.
  18. There is no cash alternative and the prizes will not be transferable. Prizes must be taken as stated. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prizes with one of the same or greater value.
  19. The Promoter reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions or to cancel, alter or amend the Prize Draw at any stage, if deemed necessary in its opinion, or if circumstances arise outside of its control.
  20. The Promoter does not accept any responsibility for lost, delayed or fraudulent entries.
  21. The Promoter excludes liability to the full extent permitted by law for any loss, damage or injury occurring to the participant arising from his or her entry into the Prize Draw or occurring to the winner arising from his or her acceptance of a prize.
  22. The Prize Draw is subject to the laws of England.
