The location is the latest National Trust site to have EV chargers installed as part of an ongoing EV rollout around the UK. There are currently around 38,737 public charging locations across the UK, with only around 4 per cent of these in Wales. There are currently an estimated 1.3 million electric vehicles on UK roads, with projections suggesting that by 2030, 55 per cent of all vehicles on the road will be EVs.
This latest installation is part of National Trust’s EV rollout with RAW Charging, which began in 2023 and has already seen over 160 EV charging bays installed at 18 National Trust properties, including Cragside Estate in Northumberland, Packwood in Warwickshire, Greys Court in Oxfordshire (which has one of the best wild gardens close to London, Stourhead in Wiltshire, and Polesden Lacey in Surrey.
