The theme is ‘As I walked out one midsummer morning…’, so from magical beach walks to stunning sunrises, the judges will be seeking out the shot which really encapsulates the spirit of your adventures at National Trust locations.

There will be two winners, one printed on the front cover of the handbook and one on member cards, which will be seen by the National Trust’s 4.8 million members.

Last year’s winner, Paul Rook, 54, won the 2016 competition with a spontaneous salt-sprayed shot of his partner and sister-in-law by the Jurassic Coast. He says, “We had gone down to the beach after visiting my brother, who lives in Portland. I wanted to practice my photography on some seagulls. But by chance I saw Kevan and Antje running back from a wave.”

Absolutely anyone can enter - you can snap away on your phone, or you may be a professional photographer. You also don’t need to be a member of the National Trust, you just need to showcase the theme and reflect a real love for – and connection with – nature at one of their sites.

The two winners will win a Panasonic Lumix DC-GH5m camera so you can keep on snapping. All entries must be received by 23:59 on September 3rd 2017. For full details of the competition and how to submit your photo, head over to The National Trust’s website.
