Who is Lucy Worsley?
Lucy Worsley is an English historian, author, curator, and television presenter. She is joint chief curator at Historic Royal Palaces, and is widely recognised for her work as a history presenter on BBC Television and Channel 5. She has also penned a number of history books.

Lucy Worsley was born in Reading and was a keen cross-country runner for Berkshire in her youth.

Lucy Worsley studied Ancient and Modern History at New College, Oxford, before earning a PhD in art history from the University of Sussex.

Partly by luck, according to an interview with Lucy Worsley in the Britain's Best Guides in 2013. Lucy was nearly thwarted in her pursuit of the prestigious role as head of Historic Royal Palaces due to a career disaster at her final interview at St James’s Palace, where Worsley couldn’t find the entrance. The only person she encountered was a member of the Royal Guard, who sensing her desperation, took pity and rolled his eyes toward the door.
Lucy Worsley moved from English Heritage to become Chief Curator at Historic Royal Palaces in 2003. She was relatively young for the curatorial world, in her late 20s, and, as noted at the time, she was also one of the few women in such a prominent role.

Lucy Worsley is the author of a large collection of historical non-fiction books, including Jane Austen at home: An autobiography, If Walls could Talk, A Very British Murder and The Royal Palaces: Secrets and Scandals. She has also written several fiction novels including The Austen Girls, Eliza Rose and My Name is Victoria which are aimed at children and young adults.
Is Lucy Worsley related to the Duchess of Kent?
Sadly no. The Duke and Duchess of Kent have three children: George, Earl of St Andrews, Lady Helen Taylor, and Lord Nicholas Windsor. However, Lucy Worsley is not related to them, as she clarified during a throwback question-and-answer session for The Guardian in 2017.
