A group of schoolchildren from St Lawrence Primary School in Jersey were treated to a fin-tastic display when they saw a young humpback whale from the boat as they returned from a school trip to Sark.
The whale can be seen slapping the water with its tail fluke and fins and even breaching. “It’s doing a performance,” shouts one of the kids in the video.
“It was such an incredible experience,” says teacher Chris Fancourt who captured the display on video. “The fact it also breached the water a few times was amazing!”
