Three rescued seal pups filmed "dancing together under the water” before release back into the wild

Three rescued common seal pups are preparing for their return to the wild at RSPCA Mallydams Wood in East Sussex. 

Pop-Up-Pirate, Kerplunk and Frustration have now been moved to the 'deep seal pool' as their strength improves and they put on more fat. This is the final stage of rehabilitation before they will be ready to be released back into the wild.

“Even though the pool is only halfway filled in this video, you can see they are already putting the space to good use, dancing together under the water," says the Mallydams team on Instagram.

Although these charismatic animals are delightfully cute, the experts at Mallydams want people to remember that these are wild animals and need their space. 

“They are fascinating and adorable to watch, but this doesn't mean they should be approached or touched,” says the team. “The best way to appreciate a seal is from a distance.”
